new rims

What do you all think about 19' BS5'S with a 1.5 inch drop springs, WITH NITTO 555 tires 235-35-19 tires for $4275 installed? Should I get 20's?

Reason for not OT...

WILL MY 5th gen take 20inch rims? I've only seen 19's

For that money I would buy an S/C and with the left over money buy some cheaper wheels...

IF SOMEBODY EVER COMES OUT WITH A S/C FOR MY CAR I WILL CONSIDER IT.

I would go with YOKOHAMA If I got the rims.

No rims yet though, I ordered my LCD screens for the rear and INDASH DVD PLAYER.

Nitto 555s and 450s are better than the stock Potenza RE 92s, I know there are better ones out there, that is if you stay with stock 17 inch size(225-50-17).

Go with 19" rims. 20's you loose too much on the performance side and your car will look pretty funny. My brother has 20's on a 4Runner and that looks good but its an suv. Go with the Lowenharts and stick with 19's.

They can go a little lower on that price. Shoot for $4100 out the door, you should be able to get it. If you want to preserve your nice Maxima ride, don't go with those Nito's. Nito makes a good tire but the 555's are kind of loud. Pirelli P7000's ride good and have good life. As a cheaper alternative go with Falken ZE 502's. They are actually a better tire than the 555 as far as ride quality goes. But if you're sporting Lowenharts you're show not go.

Some people rather go with look than performance, and its perfectly fine!

20"s fit. People should get off him for trying to get nice wheels. Good wheels cost don't hate. But get some good tires.

do you mean lowenhart br5's??? i can't find any bs5's. if you are talking about the br5's, i'd get them. those are my favorite rims.
i'd probably only get 18's for ride quality and cost. lol. and looks. maybe even 19's but not 20's.

I just saw a 2002 with 19's tonight. Looked real mean. Go with 19's and like Max-n-out said, get good tires.

4g's for a set of 20"s is pretty low really. even my 19"s where more than that. But, anyway. Which perelli's. And what size.

I wouldn't go with those Zero's. They are a good tire but they are going to wear out pretty fast. The AVS's do handle awesome, but everytime you take a hard turn, you just wasted $10 bucks in rubber because they wear out like no tomorrow. Serioulsy, for just a car that cruises around looking nice, I'd go with those Falkens. They'll ride better than the AVS and Zeros and cost a lot less. You won't have a sexy brand name like Pirelli or Yok's but they ride great, last long, and are inexpensive. You should be able to save another $100 off that $4100 price tag with Falken tires.

This is just a bad sugestoin. I'm sorry but falken is garbage. avs do wear out somewhat quick. But all good z rated rubber does to some extent. If your gonna spend money on wheels do it to tires too. And the avs sports ride very nice.

It's just a brand name. If yuo look at tire technology from a Pirelli P7ss vs a Falken FK-451 you're talking YEARS of difference.

now, now ... don't be pick'n on us Falken owner's too much. They aren't garbage! I had the continentals before these and they were not up to these! I like the Falkens I have alot. Now they aren't S-02's and such ... I'm not going to lie, but they are a good tire. I do spirited driving on occasion and they handle just fine. I have not had any problems with them at all. Also they are just as quite as my stock 16" toyo's. I think that is just amazing in the performance 19" z rated class ...

Also they were $175 a tire for 245/35r19. Not bad at all ...

I'm sorry I wasn't trying to come down on anbody with them. Just trying to show how bad that suggestion and opinoion it is. To say there as good as yok...I mean come on. You get what you pay for is the best way to say it.

Not all the time ... look at stillen and thier clear corner lense prices

I will agree that most likely my tires are not as good as yours (i've never driven or even been in a car with your tires), but I have had the yoko's in the past and didn't like them. Different tire though, and you and I had already discussed that.

But personally for me the Falken was the best choice. With a high treadwear rating, price, and quietness (is that a word?) they fit what I was looking for. I only drive my max now at best once a week. During those drives I don't really push the car to the it's limits. I do have fun every once and awhile, but I made my decision to be slow and cruise rather than fast and drive hard.

Now I just like everyone to break their necks as they see my car go by ... that's why I rarely speed anymore!

also forgot to add, that at just about 40 lbs a wheel ... that kinda cuts down on the need to smoke the tires and take corners at 70 mph.

At least it was for me ... you are different though

The Pirelli and Yok's are great tires, I'm not trying to say that one is better than the other. What I am saying is that there is a better tire for the application. If I had a Supra I sure as hell wouldn't be using Falken's. In that application I'd be using a more high performance tire. But, if I were a guy in a Max, putting on 20's that are meant for cruising, then I would go with a tire that rides good, handles good enough, and is somewhat inexpensive because 20" tires are mucho $$$. I know that Falken aren't the best out there, but I'm just a big fan of parts that have a good bang for the buck ratio.

well..i have to agree that Nitto's aren't that great as they say they are. the 555 are crap!! i had them on for a long time, and i just couldn't take them to the track anymore. i just bought a set of Bridgestone Potenza S-02s...bought them used for $40 each with half-tread left...these are soooo much better...and i didn't even spend that much..
