Brake problems....... again
Brake problems....... again
So back in Feb (25th to be exact) i bought a rear caliper at advance auto and had to change the pads and caliper, the car worked perfect til 5 mins ago, i notice its as if the caliper is going to seize again... the inside of the rotor is a lil bit messed up and isnt as smooth as the outside, my question is, do i need to replace the caliper again, or is it that the pads are so word that the caliper is fully extracted to where it seems as if its seized... (i wouldnt know why in 2 months the pads went down that much)

Mistake many (including myself) have made.....it's not the calipers. It is the ebrake line. Moisture and debri get in there and the line seizes up and prevents the caliper from fully releasing.
Either replace the back cables or remove them and use some graphite powder or Something and work it through the cable. Some say if you're going to all the trouble to remove the line, just replace it. Not sure that
the cost for replacing the line is justifiable.

Did you replace the pins woth the new caliper?if not try pulling the caliper and look for the signs of uneven pad wear i know when mine acted up i changed the cable but found out the pins were causing it to bind up just antiseize the pins up and run it
