i have been reading.up on the 00 maximas boost (map/baro) sensor.

being that we have a MAF sensor which monitors our air, what roll does a boost sensor play? i see it is tied into our tcm and i assume it would play a roll in shift points and has to have some some control on throttle response.

only one out of 10 posts i found on this site a guy said there is definatley driveability issues. i unplugged mine and nothing happened when i drove it. it drove the same way and i got no SES light? i have a torque loss and im really leaning on it being a MAP sensor. i think the torque loss is a mix of gear ratios and knowing the correct pressure in the intake manifold.

i have replaced my MAF. i have another thread on here under "fuel pressure" which lists my replaced/ cleaned parts, so u have an understanding of what ive already replaced.

this boost sensor is not to be confused with 01+ which our found under the kick panel.

any 00's out there have problems with there boost (MAP/BARO) sensors that can shed some light on this.

yea i just went through the diagnostics. it was unplugged.. i think for a while. it checked out ok. thanks nmexmax.
