shift ****

hey guys,
i want to change the shifter ****,its 03 auto. most of them on ebay say that the're for manual, would they still fit?

I've looked at it, these auto shifters seem identicle to manuals.

I just got an OEM replacement a couple months ago, what a world of difference in how badly mine was wore down, yeah it did cost a lot but was worth it....

Sorry guys, 5th and 5.5 gen auto kobs are not interchangeable. The 2002-03 has no button. Supposed to be more of a sportier feature for "manual" shifting. Even though, Nissan failed to do this right in the maxima.

At least in the 350z, they had the +\- option on the auto version.

My question is this; will the complete shifter assembly interchange from a 5.5 to a 5th? There is one in my local u pull it and would love to swap em out

No, they are not. 5th gen uses O/D button, 5.5 gen uses gated shifter. Completely different & incompatible systems. To OP: I have a BNIB Levoc shifter that would work for you. PM me if interested.

correct 5.5 and 5th are completely different.

Onlyt he 5.5 can use a normal manual ****. The 5th gen is a horrid contraption
