Tire pressure ?
Just got some new 235/40/18 tires from discount tire. They put 36 psi in the front tire and 35 in the back. does that seem right to you guys? I've always kept mine around 32 or 33. What's the best psi to have in this size tire so that I will have an even tire wear.

Normally anywhere between 32 and 36 will have even tire wear. 32 will give you a little better traction, 36 will give you a little less tire resistance, so you'll get a little better fuel mileage.

Psi depends on what the car manufacturer requires a tire to hold. if you message me with the Year/model of your maxima, and the entire Tire Size, i can provide an exact air pressure for your vehicle. entire size will incluse the 2-3 digit and a letter at the end of 235/40R18.

Care to share the formula with us?

Stock tire size normal loads = 32 psi
Stock tire size heavy loaded = 34 psi
Lower profile tires (19" rims) = 36 psi
Front/rear differs based primarily on weight. That difference on average is about 2psi frt/rear.
If you have subs or always have stuff in the trunk you should run even.
This is a rough guidline of course. Basically it's pegged pretty good in this thread between 30-36 is good. For those tires and normal loads I'd run 33 front 31 rear.
