So I'm getting the P0745 code in my 2001 maxima. After searching I have found the bulletin and part number to fix a 95-99 transmission but I was wondering if the 2001 auto tranny would be the same transmission. I know it is a different body style but does it use the same solenoids? Thanks

It would appear they use different solenoids from more searching. If anyone knows that the solenoids will swap out from 95-99 and 00-01 please let me know. Thanks

I just saw this thread... yes, the 95-99 and 2000-2001 transmissions are physically interchangeable. I've done it both ways in my '99. Axles are the same. Mounts are the same. What isn't the same is the internal solenoids and the external wiring from the solenoids. The 2000-2001 solenoid wiring terminates right on the top, and the 95-99 has a longer cable that goes directly to the main harness. A 2000-2001 tranny should come with the extension cable which must be spliced. The transmission computer will work either way and there are the same number of wires in the bundle., but you must keep the cable switch from the original transmission and mount it on the replacement. The TCM switches are in that cable mount and switches.
