Is this an ideal buy?

Hello everyone. New here. I used to own an 05 maxima but traded it on a new Chevy cruze because I had a long commute. However I got a new job in my home town and want another maxima. I found a 02 maxima se with all factory options. It's a six speed. The guy took good care of it and it has new eagle gt tires. However it also has 128k miles. He wants $4500. Good or bad idea?

Sounds decent if it's in excellent shape. I'd shave some more off the price, but that's me (10 yrs old after all).

Just remember the maintenance required of a 3.5 (cats mostly lol).

Sounds like a good KBB value but if you have time you can get a better bargain if you want to do a little work. Many people sell their older max's thinking they are about to go and will become a money pit when in actuality they just need a MAF, throttle body cleaning, etc...

Where are you located? Seems slightly high. I can find a good condition 02 with 60k on it for ~5,000. I'd throw him a 3500, wait a few days and see if he calls you. If he doesn't, bump that to 3750. Just my .02

Ha! 6spd? Bullsh!t.

OP, 4500 sounds like a good find. Market drives the price and a 6spd is a totally different product than the AT. Ask any 6spd 5th. They'll tell you that's a really good find if the car is running properly and has decent paint on a body with no issues.

Hey that sounds like a very fair price for all options and 6spd... go check it out.

I call BS on the 60k ~$5,000 claim unless its got mad hail damage or a salvage title. Chances are it will be a one time thing or a strippy. Oh well..

I love my 6spd!
