00 Maxima - Need sensor name please!

Hello guys, I am a rookie here and I am sorry if my noob question will irritate someone but I've been searching and still can't find out the name of this sensor.

On my 00 maxima gle I noticed in the engine bay that this sensor is leaking oil it sits to the left of the oil cap , a little below.

PS: thats not my car -taken from the google

notice the yellow cap, its diagonal from it. Its in there with 1 bolt.

If anyone can please tell me the name of this sensor so I can replace it! Its been leaky on my engine!

Thanks!

if your talking about the CAM sensor located to the left of your oil cap, on the timing cover, you can pull it off by removing that 10mm bolt and make sure the O RING isnt cracked or missing and replace that rather than the sensor, it wont spew out oil so dont worry when you remove it.

wow thats actually good if I dont need to replace the entire sensor. In regards to the O ring, do you think auto zone carries these or do I have to special order it??

really appreciate the help

I have yet to be able to spot the actual o-ring. There's a spot where it looks like it has an o-ring but when I touch it its rock hard and seems to be part of the body of the sensor and made out of plastic.

This is true for the extra cam sensor I have sitting around + one out of a 4th gen and the one currently working (and not leaking) in my car.

Maybe I'm just blind or perhaps I should stop drinking when working on cars.

Here you go guys http://forums.maxima.org/4th-generat...sor-phase.html Read thru here, there is a pic of the o-ring as well as the size...and yes, they can be bought at a parts store or even some hardware stores. You're welcome.
