Umm, to my knowledge, 03's all came with a stock HID source for the headlamps, didn't they?

And as for fogs, I personally use Xentec 35w fat ballasts. Those fat ballasts can withstand 120mph curb rash. I'm talking from experience. The slim ballasts will **** up on you, so don't bother with those. I was speeding down the highway and only noticed when I got off the highway and came to a red light that there was some sort of scraping noise coming from the passenger side. I pulled over to see what it was, and I found the damn ballast was dragging behind me the entire time. The best part is, IT WAS STILL WORKING... Until it got caught under my tire and got pulled off

Use 3M industrial (red ones) to tape it up... it'll never come out and you won't have to worry about 120mph.

I use the slim ones on mine, almost going on 2 years.

 

OEM ballasts and bulbs are the best. Matsush!ta ballasts plus philips bulbs.

 

ive always hear xentec was garbage, also used to hear alot of people recommend ddm, but evidentally they are turning into garbage too. so if/when i order anything hid, it will be quality parts from theretrofitsource.com

are you guys staying 4300 when changing bulbs?

 

I wouldn't go any higher than 4300. If you go higher up, you shift the visible light spectrum up higher into the UV range, and well us humans can't see UV light. 4300 gives the most usable light, especially if it's foggy and or raining at night.

 

i thought it was closer to 5-6k that you lost usable light. is 4300 white-white, or does it have a cool white very slight blueish?

Your 03 has hid in them oe!

 

Your blurry lens will still be blurry with new bullbs. Get the 3M headlight restoration kit and a drill and fix that.

I recently purchased the 5k bulbs and I like them. Look at pictures to see what you would like. As for the fogs....well IDK because I have never done them.
