Stillen lip fitment

ok well i recently purchased a stillen lip from stillen brand new in the box. The fitment seems to be off, it does not hug the bumper tightly theres gaps in a few places. Im test fitting the lip before i paint it so its right out of the box from stillen.

CJ I just used some SS#10 pan head Phillips sheet metal screws 2 on ea wheel well & 2 at the back corners of the lip where it sits on top of the lower grill opening. A piece of cake to remove for servicing i.e. fog replacement. I've plowed through deep snow, hit parking lot barriers & bottomed it out w/ no problem. It'll take a beating & not fall off. Fawck the 3M tape it's a beatch to get off once it's set.

+1 ^^except the screws in the grille area, i recommend double sided tape in that area at the flat parts in between the fog lights, in other words the part the lays flat over the lower grille sections

Use 3M tape to mount the middle and side parts and push it snug. Then screws on the side near the wheels.

Very flexible. Should form right to the body with no problesms. Mine came out fine.

If you know what you're doing. With parts like this, I always recommend installing them in hot weather. I've always found it to ensure the poly is softer for a more snug and fitted look. So, a bit of strategic extra heat just might clean up a few lines, but don't expect much, no miricle is going to happen.

And yes, double sided tape and a couple screws/rivets at the wheel well will hold it perfectly.

Your fitment looks about normal to me, even mine has a couple of slight gaps.

It would be perfect if you molded the seams, that would be especially clean.

That sucks, cuz I've noticed the 5.5 is very different than the 5 gen cuz mine is 5 gen and it fit perfectly however there were some gap cuz it's urtherane bumper that you use 3m tape to really close the gap flushed to the bumper.

aside from the grill aspect and dated wheels (not just because it's chrome, but the style) that's a classic look on that 5.5
