Seat Back Panel Installation

My young daughter broke the cardboard on the back panel on the front passanger seat of my 2002 Maxima by kicking it a few times when she was mad and sitting in the back seat. I was going to live with it broken, but recently bought a replacement on eBay, and my daugher is now old enough to know not to kick it again. I know the panel is supposed to be attached using four plastic inserts near the bottom of the seat into holes on the panel, and two metal clips near the top of the panel into slots in the seat back. The problem is I can't get it to insert right. Once I put the panel up in place and let go, the clips at the top slide out, and the whole thing just fallls off. How do I correctly position and install the panel?

That's exactly what I am trying to do. I insert the metal hooks in, then I try to hook up the lower inserts. Then I let go. Then the panel falls off. What's the trick?

My guess is put the top of the seatback finisher near the final position only higher up. Push inward and slide down until the metal hooks grab. Then you should be good to push in the lower clips on the finsher.
