As some of y'all have seen, I left the forum back in the beginning of May because of relationship problems with the old lady... Some might not care but my old 5.5gen was under my old ladies name and as I had left her, she took the maxima...
Well a few months have gone by and her and I finally settled our differences and we ended up buying a 5.5gen with a 6 speed..
Car had 170,xxx on the odo but 35,xxx on engine and transmission...
Car was bought for 3,300 with some minor repair needed..
Non bose, no sun roof, only options that are on the car are the leather seats and spoiler...
Mine on the left and hers in the right... Hers still have the bc coilovers
First fill up
And what drives me crazy about this car..
Now with the questions since I have never drove a 6 speed maxima...
The clutch is brand new but hard as ballllllssss to shift into any gear when engine is running...
My thought was air in the clutch line because the clutch pedal doesn't fully engage when it's to the floor it feels like...

Hers the day she picked it up from the house...
I took most of the small parts off it as in, 00-01 se tails, 00-01 gxe dash kit, and energy suspension bushings still in boxes
Good thing is, old lady and I are better than ever and both have 5.5gens..

Welcome back....
It seems either air in the clutch line or perhaps it needs adjustment? I'm not familiar on maxima manuals but on other cars...maybe older ones...you can adjust it.

i can pump the clutch about 30 times and it slides into 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th like butter... any other time if i dont pump it, you have to put some strength into shifting...

she doesnt like how stiff the coil overs ride (i put it on the stiffest setting when we broke up)
she wants the SE suspension on her GLE....

About 30 mins north of Dallas...
Town I'm in was established back in 1883 I do believe and tonssss of historic buildings are still up...
Also has a old cotton mill a few blocks from down town...
Was classified as the fastest growing city in the nation from 2006-2010

they have held up great man!!

I'm tossing up either get another set of bc since they have held up pretty damn good on the GLE or maybe some full adjustable teins with an edfc..
I'm more into handling than power, do a lot of high speed cornering out in the country...

Well I got the SE towed to the Nissan dealership yesterday and got a call from Nissan today..
Let's just say the 3300 I spent on the car, tack on another 4100 in repairs needed..
Car is costing over 7400 all in all
Flywheel
Radiator
Key and key fob

Yep. I put mine on when on stock springs. It reduced body roll really nicely. But after I lowered the car, I felt that especially on curves the back end felt like it was going to break loose. Happened too often. Very unnerving feeling. Removing the sway bar (but still remaining lowered) gave me the control back. A healthy amount of body roll.
I've removed countless sway bars from customers cars because of this same phenomenon, so I don't think my opinion is entirely off-base.
