HR or JWT. Everything else will be a rip and the company producing them wouldn't know half as much as Nissan and JWT

So BC cams are well worth the money? And would u have to replace the valves and springs too?

Getting cams is great but if you can port the heads and get better valve springs etc. so you can rev higher and take even more advantage of the cams that would be nice with that intake manifold. Enjoy.

SMH I think you need to do a little more research on this before you buy. Cams are a HUGE investment.....basically have to take the entire engine out (if you want to do it right) very labor intensive. What are you going to use to tune???? Are you tuned now?

yea....they are...i would choose jwt 1st and BC 2nd....you dont have to change the valve springs and retainers if you are not revving past 7200 rpms

waste of time and money for a little bit or if any gains....just spend the money right and get it done the first time. Everybody keep preaching about the rev up cams or HR whatever in our car but i have yet to see some dyno comparison

I'm just thinking about cams jus for the reason that I got a 350z rev up oil pump, I need to change the plugs, and I got a new timing chain cause I think one of the tensioners is bad cause I hear a small tick when I let go of the throttle sometimes so since Ima do all that minus well take advantage and add some cams.

You really need a proper tune to take advantage of cams....get your tuning situation straight FIRST then decide on cams. Also with any tuning solution you get find one that allows you to tune the cam timing, ignition and fuel. A waste putting cams in on stock cam timing....stock cam timing SUCKS!!!

I thought it depended on the lift of the cam too? I thought with the higher lift and longer duration cams the stock valve springs cant keep up and may float? I may be wrong.....

So I should tune before the cams go in, or after I'm kinda confused about that.

u sir are correct. ive never seen how much lift maximas can run before encountering ptv issues. but lift and duration are major concerns as well as ramp profile.

if you are determined to put some cams in, you need to discuss this with the cam manufacturer. they will have all the supporting parts needed and the knowledge you are looking for. here you will find 99% educated guesses, which may help, or may cause catastrophic failure. not insulting the members here, but i dont expect many people to have personal experience installing cams in maximas. u do NOT want to f this up

Sounds good but my main concern is all cams for vq35de say for 350z and g35s are they identical to ours and will they bolt right up?

someone whose job is to sell parts told u to go do ur research? dont know if thats good or bad. they should want your money, and not sure if i believe they truly want you to make an informed decision.

Not to take anything away from Ceffy, but hat thread is more toward electronic tuning.

Check the AM forum for cam talk. http://forums.maxima.org/all-motor-61/

The answer to the question you asked does not exist. You need to you ask yourself what you want first.

Cams, there's a balance, so asking "what are the best", simply screams you need to do a LOT more research/reading.

Go do some homework.
