2000SE parking brake question

According to my owner's manual, the parking brake lever should be able to be pulled up about 10-11 clicks from its released position. My 2000SE parking brake lever can be pulled only 4-5 clicks and already quite firm. I didn't say the car shifting while parking, actually parking brakes hold quite steady even on a steep surface.

My question is: Do I need to do any adjustment on the parking brake?

You can't go past 4-5 clicks or it just stiffens up 4-5 clicks in?

problem solved. there's a 10mm adjusting nut hidden at the angle of the parking brake lever, a hole on plastic cover ease to access. just turn counter-clockwise to loose it.

Thanks for replying Toxic!

Sorry about that, I went out and tried figuring it out myself but no luck. At least now I know there's an adjusting nut on there. Thanks!
