put it on a car that actually has nismo parts.....otherwise it's like taking a regular mustang and putting Shelby badges on it or taking a regular 325i and puttiing ///M badges on it.....poser.

If you're obsessed with Nismo stuff, buy some actual Nismo performance parts (even though they're overpriced and not as good as many other aftermarket parts on the market).

I've always been of the opinion that go-fast stickers and emblems belong under the hood, assuming you've got the engine bling to support that kind of doll-up. Otherwise, lipstick on a pig... and all that.

You also have to actually have the parts that match the badge. You didn't say, so what do you have going on in your Maxima that's NISMO?

I was actually going to get some nismo badges myself. I think of it this way, nismo is an acronym for Nissan motorsport right? So if I have Nissan genuine parts that create more power like a VI then I should be entitled to a nismo badge or two.
Now if I went and bought a stillen badge without installing any stillin parts then I think that would fall under the same catagory of rousch or Shelby

But that's just me do what you want dude it's your car. I personally don't care my max is getting a nismo oil cap and badges if someone doesn't like it or thinks its rice tough it's my car.

Put the badge on the trunk dude right under the right reverse light

Sigh

Go purchase some NISSAN badges, or some MAXIMA badges. Then put that NISMO badge on your computer, or your bedpost, or whatever.

But don't put it on your car.

If you put it anywhere, put it on the trunk. Badges on the rocker panels (under the door) is going to look rediculous.

Well if you really want it on there I would say it would be best on the trunk...

There's a local maxima with a nismo badge on the truck...it looks retarded. Even more so b/c it's stock minus HID fogs.

Sure, soccer mommy in a pos van won't notice, but anyone that knows cars will be saying rice.

I have one of those stickers on my Toolbox at work.

It even looks cheesy there. Do not put this on your car. It's huge!!! And it will look stupid regardless of it's install location.

I love stickers and I have a fair amount but I also have a corresponding part to go along with each one. Do your thing, I would put it on the trunk right under the tail light. Little strip of metal, should fit perfect. I used to have a Nismo emblem there. Funny thing is each of my stickers probably do correspond to 5hp each

Haven't seen you on here in a while.

Anyway I'd put the badge somewhere no one will see..

I say if you can mod a CAI from nismo to work in your maxima then you would have some real reason to put a nismo badge on your car. Otherwise why even bother really? It's not cool without the parts to back it up.

Plus those emblems arent OEM anyways so it will fade after about 2 months and look like crap. Who knows? When everybody else hates something I try to go the other way because he seems like a nice dude.

OP, the better thing to do is get some "Maxima" and "SE" emblems, assuming you have an SE, from a 2001 and put those on. Those are some hot emblems. IE:

I agree with the above post. I used to have the maxima.org stickers on my passenger side windows, as well as the grey NWP stickers and it was too much going on. Got rid of them and just looks much cleaner now, especially with the 5% tint on the back.

Shame that your grille looks damaged on the passenger side, because otherwise that's pretty unique and interesting.

Not so much a shame given it's not finished. Needed to ensure the design would hold up before further time investment. Final version WILL be clean and may keep Nismo or incorperate a centered Nissan emblem.....shall see.

Finished? I don't get that... what are you doing?

You know what might look good? The MAXIMA lettering mounted on a black plastic panel which is then mounted offset in the grille where that NISMO emblem is.

Gregg I like it offset I think if U put anything in the center of a grill with no bars it will look ridiculous, like its floating or something.

I wouldn't change that part, looks fine!

And I've always liked the eyelids when done right with good eyelids

They look bad no matter what, even if you have a model that has the parts. Let the REAL Nismo parts show off the decal/badge instead. Only true exceptions in the states are the authentic Nismo 350Z and 370Zs.

As you observed, the outer rim/abs portion is messy where the bars were removed. Need to clean that up on both sides. Also need to clean up the edging of the mesh. I'm going to fabricate a 1/3" or 1/2" wide trim that will go around the edge of the mesh and clean up the transition from the grill rim and the mesh. Jaguar did something similar.....best image I can find is this one. Imagine this inserted in place of the mesh I've got now. NOT chrome of course, be should give an idea of what I'm referring to regarding trim around the mesh portion.
