flat tire
flat tire
Agh, i just got a flat tire, and the shop said they cant patch or it plug it, because the whole is Y shaped or something. They told me that new pontezas, for my SE max, will cost me about $160, thats for the 17 inch tire. Any1 know any place i can get it cheaper? Online maybe?
Re: flat tire
You can't. Those rip-off tires are 160 anywhere. My suggestion is that if your other 3 are low on tread, just get new tires. I have been hearing that Michelin Pilot Sport A/S are very good, but pricy. Good luck.

Mine cost close to $200... but I needed it replaced quickly, so I didn't shop around (it came from my Nissan Dealer, who had 1 LEFT!)
so $160 isn't that bad... I agree that the potenzas are overpriced, but I doubt you'll find much cheaper that fits our stock 17" rims...
If you guys are talking about the 225/50 tire, I found out last week that www.tires.com (or www.discounttiredirect.com ) has Nitto 450's and Falken (somethings - might be a truck tire) for about $110 or so each.

what do u guys think of the kit that is sold in like Strauss Auto, its a can, that comes with a sealant in case u pop ur tire, it injects the sealant and pumps ur tire, so you wont have to take it to the shop, and have to put on ur donut. Any1 know what im talking about?

heh...
fix-a-flat.. well, its very temporary.. and nothing makes the guys at the tire shop more angry. its a mess.. and if they dont remove it all after the patch, your tire will be out of balance. They have to mess with it to get a clean spot for the patch. Many will just leave it in there.. not good.
