Test Pipe

Test Pipe
Hey guys, I've noticed in my research that a Megan Racing Test Pipe is to big. The OEM cat is 12.5 inches longer and the Megan racing one can be from 13.5-14.5. Therefore does anyone know of any other test pipes to get? I've found this one but it doesn't say how long it is! http://www.ebay.com/itm/2000-2003-NI...1520d8&vxp=mtr

the one linked will fit but you dont want one that cheap, the bolts in that kit are probably grade 5 at best. I would get this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nissan-89-98...d2f4c1&vxp=mtr

Should but not 100% certain. I dont know the length of your OEM cat that the test pipe is to replace. The oversized will not fit, that I am certain of. Your cat should measure a little over 12" no?

it should be 12 3/8". It should fit but I cant tell you for certain. Search around on here. A lot use the 3" test pipe and it is the same size as the Cattman fastcat just a lot cheaper. I dont know why they sell oversized test pipes. Beats me but I am sure there is a good reason

not a bad thing. the main advantage that a resonated test pipe would have is that it would deaden a little bit of the extra noise and possible rasp that comes with removing the main cat. It will work with the car, and will not cause any issues(other than a possible code for low cat efficiency, or O2 sensor code). That issue mainly happens when you remove the cat, but there are solutions for that too. You can use spark plug anti foulers to help resolve any O2 codes

I have no rasp, and have a 3 inch test pipe on mine. aside from that I use an o2 sim on the secondarys. I purchased mine from Mandrel bent solutions. Ordered the 3 inch pipe and flanges, as well as a bung to add my wideband, and just had a friend weld it up in place.
