My iacv went bad and apparently fried the part of the ecu that allows you program the iacv. What options do i have? Car runs just dies if in park after 1 min of sitting after driving. Ive searched around but would like options of what i can do. Car still runs

A dealership fried my ECM by accident a few months back. I was told that the car would not start at all. Since yours is still running, it might be something else. Sounds like maybe you just have a bad MAF (which would be a lot less severe than the scenario you described).

Well weird thing is i got a new idle control valve and the shop tried to reprogram it and then they sent it to the local nissan dealership and tried to get it programmed thats when they came back and said it fried the part of the ecm. It has hard starting and really kinda idled fine. It was still a bad idle control valve but i figure nissan would
Be the ones to know id it was fried right? No engine codes are thrown anymore.

Got my ECM back today car idles great. But still has a rough start after leaving the car off for 3-5 minutes. Any ideas on what it could be? I have done research and found it may be multiple things, cam sensor, crankshaft pos sensor, or MAF I am not throwing any codes atm.

Could u show us where u got the ECU rebuilt? If it idles fine now and doesnt stall i think the biggest problem is over, there is several hard starting threads i remember some situations called for replacing grounds or adding a grounding kit

i dont know if this will help, but in my other thread talking about my idle problem, i had got a new starter. prior to all of the crap happening with my car, when it was cold out i could start it and it always started, but the needle would go up as normal then when it went back down it would drop near the 0 and sputter up and down then go to where it belonged after a few seconds. when i got the new starter it was perfect besides the iacv going lol. it starts up beastly but...

I had the same problem. I had my ECM rebuilt for around $300, change the IACV, MAF and all related items. The car still ran great but still had small hiccups until 2 years later I decided to buy a used ECM from junk yard for $100. Put it in and had dealer program it for $85 and car ran like a champ until sold it. Moral of story is to never have your ECM rebuilt. It's cheaper and get better results in buying a used one from junkyard.
