How do you know?

How do you know if you have bad strut mounts? I know this has been posted before but people tend to go way off topic and I didn't find a direct answer. Can someone please help me please.

Thank you

Usually when you turn the wheels back and forth fully you hear squeak and the popping. Have someone turn the wheel back and forth and watch the strut mount front under the hood. If they are bad you will see it.

If your hearing a clunking when you hit bumps, and it squeaks and pops when you turn, you need strut mounts

Probably oem. Check rock auto. If you buy cheap autozone ones they might pop like the old ones. Might as well knock the struts out while you got the spring off.

I've replaced my strut mounts, struts, tie rod ends at a friends house. Took the car to a shop to get the springs aligned with the mounts and still get all the noise (creaking and clunking .. metal on metal sounds) when the road is uneven.

Not yet but that might be a good idea. Forgot to add the sway bar links were replaced also. Used Moog where I could.
