Help needed ses on. college student

I have a 2000 maxima with around 145,000 miles on it. I know this is long but i want to be as thorough as possible Thanks in advance!

I Drove it to and from school then when i went to start it an hour later to run some errands it surged up and down then died and wouldn't start. I finally get the ses to trip and check the codes and it was p0105 map sensor. so i get a new one and it starts runs for a bit but very rough and doesn't respond to throttle well then dies. i check the sensor data and i see the tps % with just the key on was 13 percent. when it was running the maf showed zero g*m sec and tps % was even higher. so i let it sit for a day check the data again now it shows tps 0 % with key on.

so i try to start it and it starts right up and seems to run some what decent and responds accordingly to throttle given. i check the data at idle and see that the maf is reading correctly and the tps is still at 0% and goes up linearly with throttle. after a few minutes of running i see lots of smoke coming out of the exhaust so i put my hand by it and it smells like gas. the ses came back on so i checked it and it now reads p0134 , p0154 and p0443. I once again checked the data to look at the 02 sensors to see the one seems to be responding from what i can see and the other stays at .290 with engine running or not. I moved it in the parking lot and it seemed to do ok but im to afraid to drive it around i dont want it to stall or damage anything.

I guess my main question is whats my next step from here. do i replace the sensors, check grounds, i just cant figure out whats going on.

P0134 is Oxygen 02 Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected (Bank I Sensor 1)

That sensor is one of the ones used to adjust AFR. So that explains the gas smell and poor idling, your car is running rich. I would visually inspect the sensor and wires for any damage, then I would check the harness and make sure you have continuity between the sensor and the ecu. Then I would replace the sensor.

Take care of that first before you do anything further.

andrewmac gave some very good advice. that should take care of the two oxygen sensor codes. p0443 is an evap code, check your hoses and fuel filler neck for rust and or damage. check your gas cap seal.

Don't worry about the evap code for now. Get the O2 sensor worked out first because if you clear that up, it will likely clear up the other engine codes.
