Clip on E-Brake

I'm changing the rear brakes on my 2000 Maxima. I got the two 14mm bolts off. However I have no idea where the clip I'm suppose to remove on the E-Brake is. I'm thinking it's this? If it is, it's stuck on TIGHT! Any tips how to remove it?

If ur doing pads only theres no need to remove that if ur doing more than that make sure the ebrake is off (secure the car) then just put a flat head on the outter end where the lip is and tap it with a hammer till it comes out im pretty sure thats just a clip that slides on, nothing more to it. Will most likely have to be hammered back in aswell
