How to clean underbody?
How to clean underbody?
In Colorado's Winter, salt is put on road to melt snow. The owner's manual says that it is then necessary to clean the underbody.
Anybody know how to do it? What would happen if water get into the muffler when you rinse the underbody?
thanks

Well the best way is to just have a nice high pressure nozzle and spray the best you can from near the ground. Or if you dont care too much, get one of them "car washes" that do the underbody also.
As far as getting water in the muffler, not to worry too much as long as you pumping it in there, over spray and a little hear and there wont hurt it, it will come out the minute the car is turned on.

During the winter months after a snow, I will occasionally buy the car wash which performs an underbody wash to get the grime and salt off of the underbody.
Could not be easier.

Yeah that makes me think back to when I used to scam the hell out of them washes, like when you started moving forward it would automatically start spraying the undercar, i would go forward, no go all the way on the "plate" and go backwards, and would sit there and let it underbody wash my car for like minutes.

Man, you must have really p***ed off the other people in line behind you.
At the car wash I use, the underbody wash starts about half way thru the wash. Getting off of the moving plate would not be good at that point I think.

And I thought I was the only one that did this
It's nice to know I'm normal I guess, despite what people say about me
