Anyone tired of their 6speed yet?

Tired of driving in heavy traffic? Tired of switching gears ?

Well, I'm looking to trade my fully loaded 01 SE with less than 2K miles for a sterling mist base 02 6speed

Any takers?

Is everyone experiencing the "Sever is busy" message again...?

But why?
Other than the 6 speed, 3.5 and HID, you will have the same car you drive right now BUT with less luxury ie. leather, sunroof...

Wait another year or so. You will loose less with your max and the new one will be out so there will be more trading going on!

Just my .02

areX: Hey...can't blame me for trying!

amazing2: I'm not having fun in my automagik...I want the 6speed, 255HP, HID's and want to install my MP3 player I got for christmas. I don't want to install it on my car cuz its got the Bose. I don't think I'd miss the leather or sunroof...maybe the climate control and heated seats. I believe the 03 Maximas will be priced higher to compete with the $30K+ range cars.

I had a hard time getting a 2K1 5 speed here in the Dallas area. IMO, the 6 speeds are much harder to get, since 3-5% of Maximas made are manual trannies. Or so I have been told.

6 speeds

Capitol Nissan in San Jose had a line up of 02 Maxi's.. And can you believe 5 of them were 6 speeds that are just sitting there with no one even interested in them. I wish i had money to pick one up today.

Oups, my bad, I tought you had a 5 speed!

I too believe the Maxima will be priced higher BUT they will discount the 2002 even more to get rid of them (at least I think so).

Good luck!

The 6 Speed is one of the main reasons that I bought the car. I give lots of credit to Nissan for sticking with manual trans when everyone else only does autos. I got rid of my Accord Coupe party because I hated driving an auto. If you have even thought about a manual and don't do it, you'll regret it.

Accord V6 Sedan here - I'm tired of auto too. But someone might have done me the favor of getting rid of it for me (there's much more damage than just that) so I might be in a new car soon

The local dealer here in Canada claims that each dealer is only "allocated" 3 or 4 cars with 6 speeds per month come February.

Glad mine is in the books and on the boat! Should be here in 2 weeks, if it doesn't get torpedoed or has a run in with an iceberg.

Yup, I'm definetly sure I want a 6speed. My last car was a 91 Honda Accord EX 5 speed. Sold it to my cousin. I miss the manual tranny...

StevVTEC: Are you really getting the 02 3.5SE Alti 5speed? Why not the 02 Max 6speed ?

To go along with your thought...When do you guys think is the best time of year to get a really sweet deal on an '02 Max? (I'm not sure when the exact "end" of the model year is...) I thought that closer to May/June dealers would be willing to deal....

Lemme know..I'm trying to weigh my options...Do I want a slightly used 2K or 2K1..or do I want to spend a little more and get a deal on a Canadian Max

The 03 Max should be arriving in September. If you can wait til then(what I would do if I were you), then get the 02 Max. You'll have a good chance of getting a great deal then.

Hi awsker,

I think it would be better if he waited t'ill Feb.-March... That's when the new body (04?) will arrive (hopefully).
Oh and I think that Nissan will do the same thing as they did with the '99 MY. Have a "limited edition" of some sort (ES?) and change models mid year (like the 00 maxima).

Just my .02
