Shifting weird from 1st to 2nd (auto)
Hey guys I was hoping to find some answers to my weird transmission issue.
I have a 2001 GLE V6 automatic. During a slow transition (say a slow speed take off) from 1st to second it's shifting hard into second gear after a sudden RPM spike during the shift from 1st to 2nd. Obviously this indicates a possible slip.
BUT! If I 'get on it' during my initial take off and climb the RPM's in the range of 1700-1850 before the transmission shift gears it shifts smooth as butter into 2nd gear.
I believe it to be a TCM/Silonoid issue and I was hoping to get some more feedback. You guys are great I just wanted to say I've found everyones opinion to be helpful.

Car to car basis, mine shifts smooth and fast no matter how I accellerate. Try resetting your ECU, which sets it back to its original state and it will shift better. If that doesn't work which it should, try the TPS calibration thing. 02+ can do the gas peddle thing, 01 and older can do the disconnect battery cable deal.

mine shifts this way as well. Slight 1-2 hard shift during light throttle acceleration, but smooth if accelerating more than 30%.
I figured it was normal when the characteristics didn't change with complete oem fluid change out, adding an external oil cooler, and a touch of lucas trans slipstop.
