Important: 2k2 max, auto to 6sp. swap--How muchh $$?

right now i am just THINKING of doing this, but: how much would i be looking at spending--i did a search and found that this is something that should not be looked into by a non do it yourself guy (like me), as i will be getting someone to do this for me (probably the dealership)--have any 5th gens been done here at the org?--

my most important question is about how much it would cost (with install)??
but would also really love to hear any advantages/disadvantages/warnings and things i should look out for or just be careful with when venturing to do this
thanks a million,
matt

Put it like this it would cost less to just go to the dealer and trade the auto for a 6sp

True.

I felt really bad that i took the impulse of getting the Auto 2k2 and now i'm starting to regret it.

Talked to the dealership, they say it's possible but since my car is less than a year old i'll be taking a big hit on the value of the car (e.g. what they're willing to give me)

If i had to do it all over again i still think i'd end up getting the auto though. With traffic like it is here... i don't know if i wanna deal with shifting that much.

Sell it outright, you'll still probably loose a little bit, but not as much as a trade. A swap would be more expensive and less reliable then if you just traded it.
