AC/Heater control

Hello all,

This is my first post. My name is Chris and I'm currently in Colorado Springs. I hope to learn a lot here and hopefully contribute too!

I have a question about replacing the AC/Heater control in my 2001 Maxima. I don't know the proper names, but I have the "less fancy" control unit (with the slider for heat/cool). Can I replace this with the more high-end version which allows one to set the temperature digitally? Would it be plug and play or more involved? Thanks in advance for your help!

Chris

you have the Manual climate, and you want the digital.

It's NOT even close to a direct plug and play. I think someone else asked not too long ago and we figured out a grand worth of parts and labor...basically a whole new HVAC system. Not worth it.

But if you wanted it to look better and brighter, I can put LEDs in there for you

Thanks guys! I figured as much. I had just replaced a burned out bulb in that unit and it got me to thinking about it!
