CF hood + trunk on a black max

Hey guys,

Somebody's selling some carbon fiber pieces for a maxima on the Seattle CL, pretty close to me, said he bought for a project then didn't use em, and sold the car, and got stuck with em. I was thinkin about putting em on my 2002 Black Maxima GLE. wondering if it would look good, or kinda crummy. opinions welcome, especially those of ppl who have em on their cars.

I thought I wanted the trunk so I went and took a look at it. There were a lot of nicks on it, some deep scratches on top, some fading, some discoloration, where some of the pieces met there was a "rust" color, and some of edges were not uniform, like they had been repaired, like clear spots on the edge. Not to knock the seller but I drove 1.5 hours to look at it, waited an hour for him to show up as he said he would be there in 15-20 minute increments, he didnt' want to take pics of the top and I was very disappointed after 3 hours of driving coming away empty. Price is good but this wont be for every body.

CF on black doesnt work, it looks grey and wrecks the overall look of the car, IMO

Hmm, for $80 and in so-so shape? I wonder if it would be worth just buying it and fixing some of the issues and getting it painted majestic blue. Would replace my beat up trunk lid...

I'd stay far away from it given the current description of the product and shady seller

I personally like it, more than the oem style in carbon fiber. the trunk not so much and if the hood ONLY needs clear coat for 80$ and 50 to ship ill do it.

There have been a couple trunks but everyone ditched them because they didn't fit worth a damn.
