Hi All -

I'm new to this forum, but thought I'd throw a question out there to some people who are likely more knowledgeable than I. I have a 2001 Infiniti I30, & when I turn on the climate control, the fan makes a clicking noise of late. I can only surmise that maybe the fan behind the dash has come loose and the fan blades are lightly hitting something in the dash.

Does anybody know the location of the fan? Should I start dismantling the glove box or should I take out the vents above the stereo and start there? Any thoughts and suggestions on how to proceed will be much appreciated.

P.

You have to go through the glovebox, but be careful of the yellow harness for the passenger airbag. Search for a writeup on it. And change the cabin air filter out while you're in there. The difference in air pressure is amazing after putting in new ones.

The heater fan motor in our 02 made this type of noise for a while before it quit.
