I picked up a stock replacement exedy clutch..
im not doing any engine mods to this car just trying to keep it reliable ( I have a turboed CRX for fun ). just going to lower it, tint it, put a nice stereo in it and get some 18's later on. I like the look of the murano 6 star wheels.

That rotational play seems to be about the same as on a new OEM flywheel. but the "wiggle" play (up-down) may be a bit more. I swapped my engine last Summer and noticed what seemed like a lot of play in the flywheel so had it checked at a shop that specializes in clutch assemblies and they said it was still serviceable. I had zero issues with it while driving btw. I re-installed it after carefully resurfacing with emery paper, but replaced it with a new OEM after swapping my tranny a few months later. To my surprise, the rotational play on the new flywheel was pretty much identical to mine. As long as you feel spring tension yours is likely ok, but with your mileage you might consider replacing it to avoid the time and/or $$ needed to pull it later if it wears out. A new one ran me a bit over $300+shipping from TriCities Nissan.

you got a brand new Dual Mass flywheel for $300? I thought that was impossible?
The cheapest DM flywheel I've ever seen was close to $1000.. For us candians, the price is almost double to purchase locally.

i wanna do everything i can while i have my tranny out except rebuilding it. im also might change any rod bearings if needed while i have the oil pan off to do the rear main seal.
i get a quick split second knocking on cold starts.

I hope so. motor actually sounds smooth as hell other than that. from what I've seen VQ's seem real reliable. only thing I've towed any maximas for has been dead alternators. one guy at work has a 95 max that he bought new back in the day and he's says it never gives him trouble. he just had an issue with the trunk getting stuck and his water pump went out recently. I fell in love with maximas when I borrowed my buddys 96 5 speed SE, he killed it with a bad shift I to 1st instead of 3rd !!!

Yes, $300US, but add $30 to ship and 20% tax and duty, so all in almost $400 . I'm in Montreal and I buy most of my parts in the US and have them shipped to an Upstate NY warehouse that is about 40 minutes from my place which charges a small flat fee (typically $3-5) to accept delivery of packages. Canadian Nissan dealer prices are usually 2X US prices, so this way I save on the part cost, on shipping and brokerage$$, plus I get the parts faster. I think the local price for the flywheel was close to $700 + tax.
