hmm the caliper paint says 900 degrees and the engine enamel says 500 degrees. i have grey engine enamel which would work out perfect for me, you sure my brakes dont get over 500 degrees?

The G2 caliper paint is the strongest paint for the your calipers. The high heat caliper paint usually needs to be re-done every year but the G2 last a few years. Not sure if they have grey though

I used paint meant for wheels for the calipers and touch up paint for the lettering

VHT makes a silver/grey. Bought mine at AutoZone. Good stuff!

VHT isn't that strong. Ever year you have to re-do your calipers. I sanded mine, primed it, base coat, clearcoat, and left if to cure and it still didn't last longer than a year. I've been wasting my money on this product.

Interesting. I sprayed the flat black on my wife's old Camry and it held up for a couple years after (sold back in August). Cleaned, sanded, but I didn't prime. Sprayed about 4-5 light coats and was set.

you might want to go to homedepot and look into rustoleum high heat paint for bbq grills. The temp rating is up to 1200 degrees. Not sure if they have grey but worst case is you need to play with mixing black and silver aeresol together to get the shade of grey you want. spray a wet coat of silver on and when the paint is still wet, mist a thin layer of black so the two colors can blend into a shade you want. A bit of trial and error. Or if you can find it in pint size cans, mix it to a shade you want and spray it.

Yea they don't have grey in those high heat paints so I've been thinking to do this
Or

Use the Grey rustoleum engine enamel I have? U guys think 500 degrees is good enough?

Rustoleum and Duplicolor both have an engine enamel. I have used both dozens of times on multiple vehicles. I've been in three relationships since paint and just started to get some chipping. It's been three years.
