2nd-3rd shift

I was reading on different forums and couldnt get an answer .i recently purchased a 2003 se with 126k.The problem i am experiencing is a random minor slip into third gear i would say about 200rpm more than any other shifts. Im not sure if its going bad due to its lack of consistency it happens very randomly during normal driving. When i put the car into N then back into d the slipping stops very confused

Wouldn't think the transmission would be shot with that amount of miles. Maybe the solenoid is clogged. Has the fluid ever been changed?

Im not sure if it has been changed i would rather not change it due to possibilty of making it worse the weird thing is and 70% throttle or wot i dont feel it but it has popped up twice under normal driving ,as far as the solenoids where are they located and can they been cleaned or will have to be replaced

This is common in the 4at.
it is a **** transmission plain and simple. Nissan goof'd.
you won't need a rebuild from the 2-3 flare up but just keep an eye on how it acts. I've had three, yes three 4 speed autos fail. They suck. The main issue is they overheat like crazy with wheel spin. Just going around town and DD'ing it won't harm it.
