FEL-PRO rear main same as NISSAN

i went and got a FEL-PRO rear main seal for my 02 and as it turns out its the same as the NISSAN rear main seal that i took out, except it doesnt have the grease on it ( even though you still have to lube the crank either way ) plus it has a 1 year gauruntee. i guess nissan gets them from the seam company as FEL-PRO....

So what unique identifiers did you find to make them the same? And yes, Nissan just like any other company will buy 3rd party parts and sell them.

they both have all the same markings and numbers on them. both made by NOK and have a NISSAN logo on them....

oh yeah amd the FEL-PRO came with a paper gasket so you dont have to deal with messy RTV...

I've never had any trouble with paper gaskets. I just clean both surfaces real good and put it on dry..
