2000 Infiniti I30 tranny issues?
2000 Infiniti I30 tranny issues?
Hey all i was reading some posts and i need some help here.
So the other day i disconnected my battery to clear some P0174 codes and i began to have some major issues. When i accelerate my engine was bogged down and it felt like my tranny was slipping (mind you this DID not happen before) when i accelerated hard. So i just left it for the day and prayed i wasn't going to need a tranny job or something. The next morning it started up and rough idled and stalled so i cleaned the MAF and it went away but it still didn't fix the messed up shifting! Now when i drive it keeps falling out of gear and i have to ease it back in and when i accelerate hard it just builds RPM's and it shifts into gear and makes a clunk sound. I checked the tranny fluid and it was good, clear, no debris, and no burnt smell. Did disconnecting the battery short one of the shift solenoids or damage my TCM? Or am i looking at bigger issues? I took it back to the Honda dealership i bought it from and they are trying to fix it, have not herd back yet. BTW i got the MAF dirty when i took the filter out i believe so i dont think thats contributing to it.
I don't think i bought a lemon because it wouldn't make it 48000 miles. Thanks for any advice.
