Looks like you are making great progress but damn, what a rusty mess! Guess living down here in Texas spoils me, we don't see that here unless the car is from up north. Almost be worth the time and effort to just yank the engine to clean everything up.

Thanks guys well I got a ton more pics just been busy. I have been driving the car around went to Ohio and back about 400 miles and I'm loosing oil and its not leaking so I suspect its in the engine. I think I'm losing 1/2 a qt. every 1000 miles. What are your thoughts? I'm running Valvoline SynPower 5W-30 Fully Synthetic not sure if I am burning because of the oil any way I ended up filling what I had lost with oil treatment and I put about 300 miles and noticed a very small drop on the dip stick.

@ TriniSpeC: I haven't done anything with the clutch and flywheel because of funds and that I found out about this oil burning issue. I'm hoping to get a solid year out of the car and then find a well maintained 03 maxima 6sp once I graduate and get a job

Man, I agree that the car has a lot of rust. Looks like you need some kind of engine cleaner or sea foam too. But I am impressed with the progress you have made on the car. It is starting to look really nice!

I have a question for you. What do you use to paint your parts and how do you clean them. I like the paint job on that engine cover.

I used high heat 500 degree duplicolor you can get it from any auto parts store. All I did was lightly sand the plastic and cleaned it with soap and water then dried it with an air compressor. Then when I painted I made sure I painted it in the sun when it was nice and warm outside.

You're doing a great job man. Bummer about the rust, but you've made it vastly better since you started. I love the paint on the front grille, and the blacked out Nissan logo for the engine cover. Best of luck, I just wanted to say it looks awesome. And your repaint job looks fantastic.

You obviously like the color green.
