Have a 2000 Maxima which is a third car and gets driven appx. 1,600 miles per year. The CV joints have been bad for awhile. The car drives fine and there is no noise when turning, going over bumps etc.

My question -- if they are not replaced any time soon what's the worse that can happen?

Could it affect the front axle in any way?
