how come every time it rains, the water stays on my max? my max and 929 are parked outside and the water beads off the 929, but my max always has big clumps of water on it. is it in the paint or something, this is my first new car and i was wondering if it has to do with some new paint process, please help me out if you have similiar problems.

I've noticed this on my '99 Max too. Water droplets/beads stay on the Maxima long after it has stopped rain. While on my '91 Corolla...the water runs off really quick and gets dry quickly.

Ofcourse..the stock paint on the '91 Corolla is much better than the stock paint on the '99 Maxima (seriously).

The Corolla always looks shiny as if it has been waxed..

a well waxed car is what causes water to bead and runoff...

If the water does not bead, then you need to wax it. For a new car, you need to only wax. No need to polish or use any other cleaner. Give it a good wash with some car soap and then wax.

Off course you should wax it what yeah waiting for?

If you think your paint is still Curing or something your wrong it only takes 6 weeks after it is built not bot.So by the time you buy a brand new car it has allready cured because it takes a few months to end up at your dealearship after it is manufactured.

Waxing in the cold is ok. Just don't let the wax sit too long or it may be a pain to buff off because of the cold.

Here's Two kinds of Waxes....remember!

Do not put just anything on your car. Despite what other's use. I have had Three Maxima cars...'96, '99, and this'01 version an will only put ZYMOL or AUTO GLYM on them. Since the latter (Auto Glym) is hard to find (They use it on the Royal families cars, you know...the stuck up folks at buckingham palace, go ahead and get some ZYMOL. Actually look it up on the web to order. It has bees Wax and Coconut Oil mixed in. You have to work it to get the results (Mist water on car after waxing an rebuff with towels only...Do not machine buff), but when the Hunnies walk around your car and say...Daaaaammmm!!, you'll know.

Just remember these waxes are not cheap at all!! look to pay a nice price for the better stuff!!
