UMD_MaxSE: I wonder if the ecu is something that Hogan could work out with his connections with Impul Tuning etc.

Did some crusin' throught the 'ol parts catalog-
VQ35 crank- $568
VQ35 rods- $480
VQ35 rod brgs- $111
The main bearings are the same! Don't know if the throws will clear, but it will drop in! Also, can't tell the pin-to-crown height on the piston, so custom pistons might be needed. The whole rotating assembly would have to be balanced too. Time to start looking for a wrecked '01 Pathfinder!

Dave, great job! Good info, especially that the main bearings are the same. Regarding the pistons, I don't know if I read your post correct, but it looks like you were talking about using the VQ35DE pistons. We can't use them, though, as they're too wide. We'd need to use our original pistons and just make sure that the wrist pin diameter and pin-to-crown height is the same as the VQ35DE pistons. But yes, I hadn't even thought about balancing the whole assembly. That would almost certainly need to be done, unless by a stroke of luck (no pun intended...well okay it was intended), the VQ35DE pistons weigh the same as ours.
