Siezed Nut and Bolt

Siezed Nut and Bolt
Hey everyone,
Need to see if anyone has any DIY thoughts on how to remove a frozen/seized/cross threaded nut and bolt combo? I am trying to take off my upper manifold collector in order to replace my plugs and coils. The driver side bolt and nut holding down the plenum cover is not coming off. I thought at first it was cross threaded but after talking with a long time mechanic he said the bolt and nut are probably melted together.
I guess it doesn't really matter cause that nut is not coming off. I tried vice grips and even running a diamond blade dremel through the nut. I will need to somehow cut the bolt and nut clean off then have another stud fixed to the bottom intake cover unit. I am thinking of calling a mobile welder/mechanic to somehow heat that bolt then shear it off and put a new stud on but wanted to see if anyone had any other ideas.
I have attached a pic of the nut/bolt in question. It's in the middle of the pic.
Thanks Everyone,
Bill

Cut it off. Or, you can punch the center of the stud, then drill it out with a bit about the size of the stud. The nut will come off easily, allowing the manifold to come off, and leaving plenty of the stud to work with for removal.
Drilling it out best insures avoiding damage of the intake, IMO.

I looked at the photo and they way you used the Dremel would not work. You have to cut the nut at a 90 degree angle, cut through the side towards the stud. This way the nut is no longer a solid "ring" and can expand.
Irwin bolt extractor are great but are expensive. Maybe your local auto parts store rents them.

Cut slot straight across bolt head in a X shape then smack with a flat punch and hammer.now lock flat jaw vice grips on and wiggle back and forth until it loosens
