The dreaded P1320 Code
Last year, I bought a 2000 Nissan Maxima, manual. My first Nissan. First stick. Love it.
But, the one problem it has had is this P1320 engine code.
Car seems to run and idle fine, but under power will shake and shudder (clearly misfiring) in 3rd gear. However, this seems to completely go away after 5 minutes of driving when the engine is warm. In fact, now that it is summer I don't even notice it too much- it was TERRIBLE in winter.
Also, once the engine is warm, whenever I park and then restart a few minutes later, RPMs shoot up and drop back down- I have to give it gas to start it.
Besides that, the car drives great! So I have just been living with it. But, I think it is time to finally fix it and stop ignoring the problem.
I have read around about it. It seems it could be a lot of things, but bad coils is the most common answer I have seen in threads. I just dont think it has anything to do with the coils in my case because I checked resistance on them and everything seemed fine. And if my misfire goes away when the engine is warm, I can't see how a coil could be causing it. If it were a coil it would just always be bad, right?
Anybody have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Check your spark plugs. When is the last time you changed them?
This code usually comes up because of bad coil. I had it on my 00 and my 01 and both codes went away after replacing bad coils.
Scan your codes just in case. If the coil is going bad it can work at times and do not work other times. I have had that happen to me few times before.
Check codes, check plugs, then look at coils. One of them is going bad would be my guess.

How did you measure resistance? Just taking the coil out and measuring resistance doesn't tell you anything about what it does during operation. Likely you have a coil that goes out of spec or malfunctions under acceleration or at certain temperatures, and that trips the SES.
