I replaced my cracked radiator after having engine overheating problems, and I decided to replace my thermostat at the same time.
I was able to remove the left and right bolts, but I can't reach the bottom bolt with my (small) ratchet. I've tried 1", 2" and 3" ratchet extensions but I can't seem to get a good grip on the bolt because of the angle. Also, that vertical metal pipe (what is it?) on the left of the thermostat (right above the belts) is in my way.
Is there anything else I can try before I give up on this and call a mechanic?
Thanks!
