00 Maxima Immobilizer/Check engine issue?
i bought a 00 maxima a month ago the car already had the service engine light, tis and slip light on when i bought it. The code was p1320 i beileve which was the ignition coils. It drove fine then a couple of weeks ago i went to start the car no it would crank but no start. I have read on the forum and saw that my security light when in "ON" position was solid so i guess the immobilizer went into lock out but whats weird is while in the ON position there is no more check engine light? Did the computer fry on me? Also i bought the car with only the red Valet key? Please help.

Is the security light on solid while you are cranking the engine? That is when a solid red light is a problem.
Your check engine light may have burned out from being on all the time. When you first turn the key to the "ON" position, all warning lights should light up as a light bulb test. If you don't start the engine, the check engine light will go off after a few seconds.
Get an OBD code reader and get the codes read. The engine doesn't have to be running to read the codes, just have the ignition key on.
Do this and let us know.
