Need some easy help

So I just got done rebuilding the engine at work. It's sick all new everything bored it decked it. 5 angle valve job. Lucky this is what I do for work so it was all free to me. I'm going to post a build thread here in like a week. So my question and it's dumb is where the hell does the other end of the negative battery ground lead go? It comes from the battery to a plate that looks riveted in the car and where does it go from there. Stupid question I got everything else right except for a ground pitiful I know but I would love some help

The battery cable connects to the engine block, the corner facing the radiator, below the cylinder head. It actually connects to an L shaped bracket that bolts to the cylinder block. The bracket has nothing else on it, so I would skip it and bolt the cable directly to the block.

The hose is a breather hose for the transmission, so there is no connection. It is propped up in all the various hoses and stuff.
