Ripped o2 sensor trying to install.

A little of the copper ripped on the o2 sensor exposing the white plastic, do I need to buy a new one or can it be fixed?

Good question! I don't know. I would try wrapping it with some heat resistant tape, put it back in and see what happens. It is an experiment if you will, but it is cheaper than buying a new O2 sensor..

I wrapped it in some heat resistant tape, it's burning a little but nothing has happened so far. It's running a little better.

Anyone know Dave from courtest parts contact number? need to order parts.

Bosch cut n' splice o2's are only like $55 and work great. Just replaced mine with one of them. But if you not throwing a code for it, heat resistant tape all the way.

Dave, or Dave B was never at Courtesy Nissan. He worked at a dealer in Austin Texas but was laid off a couple years ago. He is no longer part of the Nissan scene.

You can go to courtesyparts.com and order on line or call them, the phone number is on the web page.

Ditto for nissanpartszone.com that has lower prices than courtesy.

I'm gonna get the cam shaft sensor from there tonight and hopefully get that fixed as well.

has the Bosch sensor part #15955 for $42.79, and Bosch #13374) for $47.89. No tax, but there will be a small shipping charge. Their catalogue has pictures, so it's easy to choose.

They have a huge selection (over 3 dozen) of oxygen sensors, with prices ranging from $29.99 to over $100. I have been buying parts from them for 10 years and i am very happy with the quality and cost of their parts.
