3.0 engine swap problems
3.0 engine swap problems
hey fellas! so im doing an engine swap on my 2000 max. but ive ran into some problems! my max is a 5 speed. and the engine I got came from a 2000 automatic and some things arnt lining up. like the intake manifold has different vacuum hoses and the flywheel and some mounts .. anyone got anything for me?
I told you about the motor mounts in your other post.
The flywheel is also different between the auto and manual trans, so swap over the flywheel from the old engine.
The vacuum hoses could be the difference between a California emissions and Federal emissions engine. If this emission guess were to be correct, you will need to have the matching ECU.

how about you swap over ALL accessories from your old motor to the replacement motor. That includes intake with fuel rails, exhaust manifold, lower and upper oil pans and sensors.
this should be an easy swap. Maybe you should not be doing this if you don't know that the automatic flywheel is different from a manual flywheel.

I have everything set except the vacuum hoses.. they are giving me some trouble. my car is from cali. so I have so many extra vacuum hoses to deal with. I should hopfully have it done by tomorrow.
