My mechanic told my brother that he needs a new front lower ball joint and 2 stabilizer linkets with new bushings. Anyone know part numbers or a good website that I can buy decent parts for a decent price that ship to Canada?? Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance!

For sway bar end link I put in MoOG with the grease fittings (K90431/K90432).. Had to cut off the old ones off.

Then used Energy Suspension bushings (SE are bigger than the other trims 23 vs 22 mm)... The 22 mm is 7.5124 and the 23 mm is 7.5125

Good luck man!

I bought and installed Moog links
MOOG Part # K90432
$10.95 at RockAuto.com
http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php

They may ship to Canada - call them up (phone # is on the Website).

The magic word is mark-up.

How do you think he can afford a big house, a couple of Rolls Royces and 3 mistresses?

The alternative is to learn how to fix your own car.

So the MOOG is good quality and won't break in a couple months?

Yes, MOOG is a good brand.

Make sure you torque them to spec. If you don't, it will start rattling .....

I think it depends on how you drive... The ones in the car I drive were changed just for the heck of it with the car having about 195k on them.

Price wise everything in Canada is EXPENSIVE. $340 including labor for all that isn't that bad

So the mechanic wants... $340 + $200 + tax = ~$610?

Over here hourly labor rate is about $85 so they are charging you about 2.4 hours (200/85)?

Why does mechanic want $340 for parts though?

Make sure you understand what exactly is the quote for.

Replacing ball joints or Lower Control Arms (LACs) is a lot more expensive than replacing the links, and it looks to me like your mechanic included some/most/all/?? of that work in his estimate.

That is a bit excessive
Yep. That's why I want to buy the parts myself

If the mechanic is only charging you ~2.5 hours for all that work that's a STEAL!

The guy does take care of me. He doesn't mind if I buy the parts elsewhere
