Engine Swap Issue, possibly MAF

Hey, I'm new to this whole car thing (only 16, but I do my research if needed). Just put the Infiniti I30 engine (2000) into my 2000 Nissan Maxima 5-speed because my oil rings were burned out. It was driving fine though, just wayyy too much smoke. As of yesterday, new engine is in, but now I cant shift any higher than 2.5K RPM and once I hit 60 MPH, the car stops until it goes back down to 50, and then it lets me accelerate again.. Service engine light is on. The mechanic that put the engine in can't find the issue.Any probable solutions?

MAF sensor. Common problem/symptom. Check tehr code to verify, and ensure it's plugged in like it's supposed to be, check for any wiring issues with the harness itself.

Either reuse your old one from the old unit, or buy another, ~90$. Or, check for one new on here, takes 2-4 minutes. Or www.car-part.com

Red circle.
