Engine/Transmission Pairing
Hello everyone. I am new here. Before I ask my Question I will say that I did every possible inch of research I possibly could but It seems I need an experienced patron's answer.
I have a 5th gen maxima GLE (a33) with the VQ30DE engine. Dont ask me how but some how My Transmission case broke with a 2 inch hole on the bottom on the tranny and all the ATF fluid went straight out of the hole
. Ive been looking through junk yards and have found tons of 95 to 99 Trannys but the 2000 Max is elusive. Now I know the VQ30DE engine was used in the 95 to 01 maximas but could I use a 95 or 97 Transmission on my 2000 motor? Really I just need the Transmission case because the tranny components themselves are still fresh. Car only has 177k miles on it and was running beautiful before the hole appeared.
