Name That Part

On the outflow side of the mass air flow there is a gasket that helps seal it to the rest of the intake. My gasket is busted, so I took it up to autozone and of course they didn't haven't anything like it. So then I called the local dealership and described it to him and he said that it only comes with the mass air flow. I really don't want to spend that much money just to replace a gasket.

I was wanting to search for the part online somewhere, but I'm having zero luck. Is there a better name for that part than mass air flow gasket? Or is my best bet going to be trying to find one at a junk yard?

What year Max do you have? I looked it up for a 2K and see it is called an Insulator Air Duct. See attachment. I found it on the web site below.

Hit up another dealer, one that actually know Nissans well. Or you can always go to a local junk yard.

Yeah that's it foodmanry, thanks. For some reason when I select 2002 it says it can't find that part. Although, according to http://www.nissanpartszone.com/parts...523-31u00.html it fits 1995-2003 (was easy to find when I knew what to look for). And I bookmarked that site you linked if for nothing besides the diagrams. Don't know if the rest are that nice, but that one was.

And tosheto, the next closest dealer is over an hour and half away. When you live in a town with a population of 700 some options are .... limited. My "local" nissan dealer is about 45 minutes away. There's no competition to push them.

Thanks to you both.

You are welcome. I've ordered a number of parts off that web site. They have really competitive prices and fast shipping. They also throw in little items here and there like coasters, hats, etc which is kind of cool.
