2010 Mustang v6 wants to race my 5.5 gen
He's really cocky and thinks he has some sort of racecar. Anyway, he's completely spoiled (parents buy him everything) and he challenged me to a race.
It'd be on the track. I basically have a 2002 5.5gen no upgrades except pop charger.
Should I go for it?

I have a street near my house that was abandoned when they re-routed the road so we wouldn't race on like public streets. I basically have a 2002 5.5gen no upgrades except pop charger.

Is his car stock or modified?

I would go for it. I have 4 mustangs myself so I know what they are capable of. His v6 is rated at 210hp while your 5.5 Gen is rated at 255. Of course there will be lots of variable like Is yours auto or manual transmission? Driving/racing experience?

His is stock and he has barely any driving experience/no racing experience.

Unless you don't know how to press the gas pedal, it's a non issue - you should win. I wouldn't even waste my time risking the race. The guy is an idiot.

Take out the sub and spare. I took pictures of the connections so I'd remember (not too good with electronics.) if you haven't already changed out sparkplugs, seafoamed or any other maintanence try to stall until it's done. Also make sure you launch (hold brake pedal while reving up to 1500-2000 rpms) yeah his hp is less thn yours but remember his components are newer, and more efficient. You've definatley lost hp within the years.

But FMFS, please post time slips when you've already raced him, and the DA.
