Idle issue
Idle issue
Car idles perfect, but when you accelerate and let go the pedal the car Revs will go all the way down, close to zero. Sometimes it even turns off, before I burn the car, what suggestions you guys have.
TB cleaned
Full maintenance done
Leak maybe?

Did you do the 17* timing mod?
If the throttle body is clean. Try performing the throttle relearn. The procedure is up here somewhere. Also clean the maf. If the issue is still there its probably your maf that is bad. What yeat is your Maxima? I had a similer issue. Turned out to be the maf. Good Luck!
I have been through similar issues in the past. The car on a cold start idles fine. Once it gets to normal operating temperature, the RPMs drop and it sometimes stalls when I shift into neutral unless I tap the accelerator bring the RPMs back up. Then it idles normal again. No CEL or SES codes.
I have a 2000 Maxima SE M/T and had these issues when I was around the 225K mark on the odometer. I've done a lot of research on the topic and if anything is inaccurate, I do apologize. I'm sure one of the more experienced .org'ers will correct me if not burn me for bringing up a topic that numerous threads have covered.
1) TB and/or MAF: When I had idles issues, I cleaned the throttle body really well and replaced the MAF with OEM and all was fine again.
2) If that doesn't work, your IACV may be shot. I've read that coolant from the coolant lines going to the TB may short out the connectors in the IACV if the gasket is bad. You can either do the coolant bypass by connecting the inlet and outlet, or replace the IACV. A small risk of bypassing the coolant lines is the TB may freeze up, but I've read this likelihood is small.
3) IACV relearn procedure. I believe the steps are different for 00-01 and 02-03 if you don't have the scanner and you are doing the pedal pump thing.
4) ECM. If your ECM is fried, you would probably know it, but this could be the culprit as well. I think a bad ECM can fry a IACV or vice versa.
5) TPS/O2. I also read somewhere that the ECM uses the TPS when it is cold to control the engine and then when it's warm, the ECM uses an 02 sensor. If you're having idle problems after the engine is warm, it could be a bad O2 sensor.
Good luck!
